The Glam Gapyeong Review: Best Luxury Camping 30-min from Seoul

Gapyeong glamping offers an easy way to experience Korea’s nature without giving up comfort. Among the many options, The Glam in Gapyeong, which opened in 2025, stands out for its level of cleanliness and overall quality.

Why I Chose This Place

Cleanliness is always my top priority when choosing accommodation. The same goes for restaurants—I tend to value hygiene over taste. In that sense, this place offers a level of comfort that feels well above typical glamping standards.

I wanted somewhere close to Seoul but still surrounded by nature. This location strikes that balance perfectly—easy to reach, yet once you arrive, it feels completely removed from the city.

First Impression & Check-in

Upon arrival, the host checks your reservation and provides a cart to help transport your luggage. Vehicles are parked near the entrance, and you walk into the site.

One noticeable detail is the strict no-smoking policy inside the accommodation. A designated smoking area is provided at the entrance, which helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the space.

The Space & Layout

Unlike most glamping sites where you keep your shoes on until entering the tent, this place has flooring across the entire deck, allowing you to remove your shoes and stay more comfortably.

The space is divided into three main areas:

• Entrance area (living space)

Equipped with a refrigerator, sink, induction stove, kettle, and basic kitchenware, along with camping chairs and a table.

• Sleeping area

Inside the tent, there is a double bed along with both air conditioning and heating.

• Bathroom

Surprisingly spacious and very clean for a glamping site. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels are all provided. The dry bathroom setup makes it feel even more hygienic.

👉 Honestly, many glamping sites require you to compromise on shower facilities, but here, that’s not the case.

Pool & Outdoor Atmosphere

Near the entrance, there is a swimming pool. It may look shallow at first, but it’s around 1 meter deep—suitable for actual swimming.

Even in April, the weather was warm enough that swimming was suggested, although I didn’t come prepared for it.

BBQ Experience (Highlight)

In the evening, you can choose between a BBQ setup and a campfire.

• BBQ (including grill): 30,000 KRW
• Campfire: 30,000 KRW

We opted for BBQ only, but most other guests seemed to enjoy both.

You can bring the camping chairs outside, sit back, and enjoy your meal while facing nature. The layout offers both openness and privacy, as each unit is spaced apart.

Best Rooms (Important Tip)

We were able to book a riverside unit fairly easily on a weekday, but weekends are likely more competitive.

For the best view, choose:

These units face the river, allowing you to enjoy BBQ and relaxation with a scenic view.

Things to Know Before You Go

Since this is a tent-style structure, there is no noise from floors above or below. However,

It’s recommended to respect quiet hours and maintain proper etiquette.

Also, keep in mind that temperature differences between day and night can be significant.

Packing Checklist

• Light jacket (warm during the day, but chilly at night)

If you want to enjoy nature without the hassle of traditional camping, but still expect a high level of comfort, this is a great option.
