Finding a hotel with a Hangang River (Han River) view in Seoul is not just about choosing a room where you can see the water.
Some hotels are memorable because of the skyline from the pool. Others are more about shopping convenience, riverside walks, or easy access to Seoul nightlife.
From a high-rise luxury stay in Jamsil to a resort-style hotel near Hannam-dong and Itaewon, each hotel gives you a very different way to experience the city.
In this guide, I picked four Seoul hotels where the view, pool, location, and surrounding neighborhood all shape the stay in different ways.
If you are planning a broader Seoul itinerary, you may also want to read my Sangsu and Hapjeong Local Course for a quieter local route after your hotel stay.

SIGNIEL SEOUL
SIGNIEL SEOUL is one of the most dramatic skyline hotels in the city.
Located on the upper floors of Lotte World Tower, from the 76th to the 101st floor, the hotel gives you the feeling of looking down over Seoul from above rather than simply staying in the city.
At night, the curve of the Hangang River, the lights of Jamsil, and the surrounding skyline create one of the most luxurious hotel views in Seoul.
User Experience
The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows is the main reason many travelers choose this hotel.
For anniversaries, honeymoons, and special trips, the bathtub view is especially memorable. Watching the Seoul skyline and city lights from the room feels private, quiet, and very polished.
The entire stay has a calm, refined mood. From check-in to the lounge and guest rooms, SIGNIEL feels less like a simple hotel booking and more like a full luxury city experience.

Conrad Seoul
Conrad Seoul is one of the most reliable luxury hotels in Yeouido.
The riverside skyline from the guest rooms is impressive, but the real strength of this hotel is convenience. It is connected to IFC Mall and located very close to The Hyundai Seoul, making it especially easy for shopping-focused travelers.
Food is also one of Conrad Seoul’s stronger points. Breakfast, lounge service, and overall dining quality tend to make the stay feel comfortable and complete.
If you want to spend another day exploring Seoul’s local cafe scene after Yeouido, my Sangsu and Hapjeong Local Course works well as a slower neighborhood route.
User Experience
The route between the hotel, IFC Mall, and The Hyundai Seoul is extremely convenient.
You can shop during the day, have lunch or coffee inside the mall, and then walk toward Yeouido Hangang Park in the evening. Even on rainy days, the indoor connection makes the stay much easier.
For first-time visitors to Seoul, Conrad Seoul feels comfortable because many things are located within one area. Shopping, dining, cafes, riverside walks, and hotel facilities all fit naturally into the same itinerary.
Pool & Facilities
- Pool: Well-maintained indoor swimming pool
- Dining: Strong breakfast and lounge food experience
- Facilities: Sauna, fitness center, executive lounge, and business-friendly services
- Point: Best for travelers who want both luxury and convenience

- Best For: First-time visitors, shopping trips, business travelers, comfortable luxury stays
- Address: 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul
Grand Hyatt Seoul
Grand Hyatt Seoul is one of the best hotels for feeling Seoul’s night atmosphere in a more layered way.
Located on a hill near Namsan and Hannam-dong, it is not simply a direct Hangang River view hotel. Its real charm comes from the layered view of Hannam-dong, Namsan, Itaewon, and the city lights below.
Compared to newer luxury hotels, Grand Hyatt Seoul has an older resort-like mood. That slightly classic atmosphere is part of its appeal.
If your trip includes Hannam-dong, Itaewon, or a slower local cafe day, you may also enjoy my Sangsu and Hapjeong Local Course for another side of Seoul.
User Experience
The outdoor pool is one of the most memorable parts of the hotel.
It is wider and deeper than many hotel pools in Seoul, so it feels more enjoyable for actual swimming rather than just taking photos. From the pool area, you can see Hannam-dong and the city lights spreading below the hotel.
Depending on the room type, some river-facing views are possible, but Grand Hyatt Seoul is better understood as a hotel for layered Seoul night views rather than a straightforward skyline-facing river hotel.
In summer, the poolside barbecue can add a very romantic mood, though operation depends on season and reservation availability. Grilled meat, seafood, pool lights, and the Seoul skyline together create an atmosphere that feels almost like an urban resort.
The location is another major reason to stay here. Hannam-dong and Itaewon are walkable, and if you go down toward Gyeongnidan-gil, you can naturally enjoy bars, wine bars, lounges, and late-night Seoul nightlife before returning to the hotel.
One downside is that the steep uphill road around the hotel can make short taxi rides feel slightly awkward, especially when moving between Hannam-dong, Itaewon, and the hotel on foot.
Pool & Facilities
- Pool: Large outdoor pool with a resort-style atmosphere
- Dining: Poolside barbecue during selected seasons and hotel dining options
- Facilities: Lounge, bar, fitness center, and seasonal winter ice rink
- Point: Best for travelers who want pool time, nightlife, and classic Seoul atmosphere
Nearby Places
- N Seoul Tower: One of Seoul’s most recognizable skyline landmarks
- Leeum Museum of Art: A major art museum in Hannam-dong
- Hannam-dong: Good for galleries, boutiques, cafes, and dining
- Itaewon: One of Seoul’s best-known nightlife areas
- Gyeongnidan-gil: A relaxed street for bars, restaurants, and evening walks
- Best For: Couples, Seoul nightlife trips, romantic stays
- Address: 322 Sowol-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery Ambassador
Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery Ambassador has become one of the most talked-about skyline hotels in Mapo.
The hotel faces the Mapo side of the Hangang River, and its rooftop infinity pool is one of the biggest reasons travelers choose it.
The overall mood is quieter and more stylish than a large traditional tourist hotel. It feels modern, calm, and well-suited to travelers who want a more current Seoul atmosphere.
After staying in Mapo, it is easy to continue toward Hongdae, Yeonnam-dong, Mangwon, or the quieter west-side neighborhoods. For a local cafe and walking route nearby, read my Sangsu and Hapjeong Local Course.
User Experience
The first impression often begins at the 20th-floor lobby, where the Hangang River and Bamseom Island come into view.
The rooftop infinity pool is the signature experience. At night, the Mapo skyline and riverside city lights make it especially popular with travelers who care about photos, videos, and stylish hotel content.
The hotel also works well for travelers who want easy access to Hongdae, Yeonnam-dong, Mangwon Market, and the western side of Seoul. It feels trendy without being too loud.
Pool & Facilities
