Many festivals take place in large open spaces like Hangang Park or Olympic Park. Rather than simply watching performances, the experience feels closer to a picnic. You move freely, take breaks, and return to the stage whenever you want—this flow defines Seoul’s festival culture.
Personally, I find myself going to music festivals every spring. After attending for about three years, I realized that the experience changes completely after your first visit. It becomes less about watching performances and more about enjoying the space and atmosphere.

After attending multiple times, I realized that having a strategy is important. At first, I tried to see every performance and ended up exhausted. Later, I focused only on selected artists, which significantly improved the experience.
When I attended for the first time, I underestimated how long I would stay at the venue. The layout was simple, and the overall vibe felt comfortable. The only mistake I made was not bringing a picnic mat, which made it difficult to stay for long. Since then, it has become a must-have item.

PEAK Festival 2026
A live band-focused festival held at Nanji Hangang Park. The riverside setting is one of its biggest advantages.
The highlight is the atmosphere around sunset. During the day, it feels like a regular park, but as the sun goes down, the music and scenery come together in a completely different way.
It also feels more open and less crowded than some other festivals, making it easier to move around and enjoy at your own pace.
The broader Hangang area is one of the most iconic outdoor spaces in Seoul and provides a completely different atmosphere from the city center. Open riverside views, sunset scenery, and live music make it a natural setting for outdoor festivals.
